Thank you so much to everyone who sent me me an entry for this month's Does My Blog Look Good in This. Entries can be viewed in this Picasa gallery. All I can say is I'm so grateful for five of my favorite bloggers and photographers who will be helping me judge this month's entries as it is going to be a hard task choosing the winners. And here they are!
Laksmi is the mysterious face behind the enthralling blog Pure Vegetarian. Photography is part of her spiritual quest and 'offers a way to perceive and to record what already exists.' She is a Bhakti yogi and as the name of her blog suggests, cooks healthy and wholesome meals full of goodness. Laksmi's photos are light, ethereal and original.
Sylvie Shirazi is a freelance food photographer and food writer. On her blog, Gourmande in the Kitchen, she shares simple everyday recipes that celebrate the joy that food brings to our lives. She believes that food has a unique story to tell us through it's texture, color and shape, and brings this to life through her camera. Through her blog, Sylvie hopes to inspire others to follow their instincts, trust their taste buds, and find a sense of confidence in the kitchen as well as behind the camera.
Meeta's love for food photography stems from her obsession with food itself and she combines her passion for food and photography on her multi-faceted blog What's For Lunch Honey? Meeta's perspective on food photography and styling is unconventional and she is not afraid to break certain rules to capture the perfect shot.
Ilva is the author of the award winning blog, Lucillian Delights. She works as a freelance photographer specializing in food photography and food styling. Currently residing in Tuscany, she cooks seasonal foods using local ingredients. By her own admission, she is a lover of Swedish cakes and desserts.
Hannah is the author and photographer behind the blog Honey and Jam. She is a lover of 'simple things, fresh ingredients and flowers, tea with honey, good music, bluegrass and big band, trips to the farmers market and early mornings.' She captures life and food beautifully with her moody photography.
In the mean time, I'm off to spend a lazy weekend in Ras al Khaimah. I'll be back with images of our stay, of memories made, of relaxing times and a birthday cake. I'll leave you with an image of what I've been whipping up in the kitchen this week- something special I've been working on. I promise to share it with you very soon.
